Creativity and Children with Profound Learning Difficulties
A Creative Learning Exchange for teachers, creative practitioners and others wishing to place creativity at the heart of learning for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
Sunningdale School is hosting an event bringing special schools from across the UK that have participated in the Creative Partnerships Change Schools programme together with other interested parties to share their experiences of how they have used creativity to develop new learning opportunities for children with severe learning difficulties.
This event will provide you with an opportunity to learn about why these schools believe that creativity is critical to the long-term wellbeing of their children and about how they have adapted and changed to ensure that creativity is embedded in their DNA.
During the day you will discover new ways of valuing, supporting and evaluating the expression of creative behaviour in children with profound learning difficulties. Themes we will explore include;
The programme will include talks, practical workshops, ideas generation, networking opportunities and examples of best practise. The day will conclude with an exploration of topics for further discussion, debate and research.
Sunningdale and the other participating schools hope that you would like to join us for the day. In order to cover the costs of administration and refreshments a nominal fee of £45 will be payable to Sunningdale School.
